Police have seized £100,000 worth of cocaine from a 31-year-old man at Aberdeen railway station.

The man, who is from Chesterfield, is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court following yesterday’s (October 25) search.

Detective Inspector Kevin Walker, of Grampian Police’s major investigation team, said: “This is yet another substantial seizure of drugs destined for the streets of the city which has been taken out of circulation.

“Seizures on this scale will have a real impact on those who see the city as a profitable place to peddle, hitting them where it hurts – in their pocket.

“The message this sends is that we will continue to target you – Grampian Police is committed to preventing the supply of controlled drugs and will continue to ensure that Aberdeen remains a hostile environment for those involved in the drugs trade.”
