Thales has won a four-year contract from SNCF for the maintenance of ticketing equipment around Paris.

The contract covers 400 stations and 4,300 pieces of equipment.

Other than the standard maintenance of the network, the Thales offering includes a system allowing the permanent tracking of interventions via a web portal.

Laurent Eskenazi, managing director of Thales Revenue Collection Systems, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been chosen for this maintenance contract for the whole SNCF network, and not only the equipment that were supplied by Thales.

“The solution that we proposed allows the SNCF to track, foresee and remotely view all interventions. Thus, it will also give a more efficient service for passengers.”
