Panama receives first metro trains

The first three of 19 new metro trains has arrived in Panama City.

French rolling stock manufacturer Alstom is delivering the new trains as part of a package of works for the Central American city’s new metro system.

Alstom will deliver 57 metro cars and the CBTC train control system for the 14km line.

The Panama Metro will feature 13 stations along a mixed above and below ground network.
