TVZ delivers first Russian double-deck train

Tver Carriage Works (TVZ), a subsidiary of Russian rolling stock manufacturer CJSC Transmashholding, has delivered the first of a new fleet of double-decker trains for the Russian market.

The 15-car train will operate OJSC Federal Passenger Company (FPC) services between Central Russia and the Black Sea resorts of Sochi and Adler.

The new train features 15 carriages and 12 compartment carriages, as well as a dining car.

TVZ has said that by the end of this year, the company will have built 50 double-deck trains for Russian Railways.
