Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded a further three civils contracts worth S$1.09 billion for the construction of the Thomson Line.

Penta-Ocean Construction, Gammon Construction and Taisei Corporation have been appointed to design and build Sin Ming, Havelock and Marina Bay stations respectively.

LTA is aiming to complete the 30-kilometre underground Thomson Line by 2021.

The line, which will include 22 new stations, will link the north and south of Singapore, connecting the Central Business District with the developing Marina Bay area.

Work on the three station civils contracts will begin later this year, with Sin Ming set to open in 2020 and Havelock and Marina Bay scheduled for completion in 2021.
