First Sirio tram unveiled in Zhuhai

AnsaldoBreda and CNR Dalian have held a presentation ceremony for the first new Sirio tram for the Chinese city of Zhuhai’s Line 1 light rail line.

The Italian manufacturer is supplying 11 five-car bi-directional trams which will be assembled by CNR Dalian under a 10-year licensing agreement worth approximately €200 million.

The vehicle’s feature AnsaldoBreda’s Tramwave system which enables catenary-free operation.
