An Alstom/Bombardier joint venture is to supply 10 additional double-deck metro trains for Paris transport authority STIF.
The order, which is valued at €150 million, is an option of a contract awarded in 2009.
The MI09 trains will be designed and built at Alstom’s Valenciennes site and will be delivered in 2017 for RER line A – described as the busiest regional rail line in Europe.
