Faiveley Transport wins large contract with Bombardier Transport North America

Faiveley Transport has won a contract to supply 182 trams for the the Metrolinx project in the Toronto area.  This contract will include equipping each tram with cab and saloon air conditioning units, pantograph, access doors and a hydraulic brake system.
The cars, from the new Light Rail Vehicle platform developed by Bombardier Transport are being manufactured in Thunder Bay, Ontario: the Faiveley Transport systems that will be used to equip them will also be produced in North America. Delivery will begin mid 2011 and the contract will last for 5 years.
Bombardier Transport North America has once again placed its confidence in Faiveley Transport by awarding it this large contract for a particularly wide range of products and systems.
