Petards wins contract with Transys Projects Ltd

Petards, the AIM quoted developer of advanced security and surveillance systems, announces that it has been awarded a contract, by Transys Projects Ltd, to supply and install Petards eyeTrain® on-board digital CCTV systems on locomotives and passenger vehicles, operated by Southeastern Trains.

The contract, which is worth in excess of £2.5m, is for the supply and installation of eyeTrain® systems on 148 passenger vehicles on two classes of locomotive. Deliveries are expected to commence in early 2011 and to be completed by the end of that year.

Commenting on the award, Petards Chief Executive Bill Conn said “We are delighted to be working with Transys Projects Ltd on the upgrade of the Southeastern Trains rolling stock. This is a significant contract for us and the award again demonstrates the strong position that Petards holds within the rail industry and that customers value both the flexibility and rail-proven nature of our eyeTrain® product.”
