A quick release safety boot which could help to reduce injuries at work, is being launched in the UK at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show on April 5 and 6.

The Hymac Safety Boot features a patented Rapid Release System which means the wearer can simply pull a pin and the front of the boot opens out immediately.

GBR Textiles, which produces the Hymac brand, says the innovative design gives the wearer the chance to remove their foot quickly in the event of an accident to avoid serious injury.

The product is expected to generate a great deal of interest in the rail industry, construction and workwear markets in the UK when it is launched at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.

GBR Textiles’ managing Director Paul Norton, said: “This is a great innovation in safety workwear and we believe there is nothing else like it on the market.

“We have been talking to some big construction firms who really appreciate the concept of the design once they see it in demonstration.

“We are really looking forward to launching the product at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show and being able to connect with key decision makers and potential customers who will see the benefit of the product.”

The Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show attracts leading industry figures, suppliers and buyers from all over the world – and promises to be the biggest and most influential show yet in 2011.

As the only UK-based, international exhibition dedicated to the workwear, corporate clothing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) industries, the show, sponsored by footwear experts JAL Group, has become the industry’s main focal point of the year.

Some of the world’s biggest names in workwear such as Pacific Brands, Men’s Wearhouse, Hunter Apparel, and T3 Carhartt have already confirmed their participation alongside safety footwear specialists Magnum.

One of the main attractions will be the CORDURA(R) sponsored Fashion Catwalk Show. Leading brands from a number of industry sections will be showcased by models three times on each day of the exhibition.

Visitors will also be able to find out about all the major developing trends, new legislation and challenges facing the entire supply chain at the ‘WorkIT! 2011 Conference’, which runs in parallel with the show.

Event organiser Yvette Ashby said: “We are really pleased to be heading back to the Ricoh Arena for the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show 2011.

“It is a fantastic venue for this event where the leading figures in the workwear industry can get together and meet key buyers and suppliers, hear from experts about the future as we move out of recession. Visitors can see the very latest in technology and design in workwear and corporate clothing at our very own catwalk fashion show, which is always very popular.”
