MTR Hong Kong have installed 5 iPads at Tsim Sha Tsui station for passengers to use to gain information about the services MTR offer and plan their journeys.

The iPads will be on trial for a month and each one had a ‘MTR Mobile’ app installed to give passengers the optimum interactivity.

MTR claim that the technology gives “passengers rich interactive experiences and convenience in accessing a wealth of MTR information and points-of-interests across the network.”

The iPads will allow passengers to make travel plans, check journey times and locate entertainment and dining spots across the entire MTR spectrum.

A spokesperson for MTR said, “Tsim Sha Tsui Station is one of the busiest stations in our network with a large number of visitors and tourists surrounded by the hottest shopping, entertainment and sight-seeing spots.”
