The earlier reported ASLEF union strike that forced Arriva Trains Wales to cancel all services over 12-13 March has been called off.

An Arriva Trains Wales spokesperson commented: “Good progress has been made today with ASLEF trade union which has resulted in planned industrial action for Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 March being called off. A further meeting will take place next week.

“Arriva Trains Wales will now operate a full service, with additional services for the Wales v Ireland rugby international at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 12th March.”

ATW said that a queuing system will be in place at Cardiff Central station after the match and Queen Street station will be closed as usual after 18:30 p.m.
