Ansaldo STS wins Paris Metro signalling contract

RATP (Paris Metro Operator) has awarded Ansaldo STS a contract renewal to provide preventive and corrective maintenance of signalling systems and services on metro lines 2-12 and 3 Tramway lines.

The contract worth €17.8 millions has duration of 3 years with an optional 2 years extension (additional €11 millions).

Through its subsidiary in France, Ansaldo STS started its partnership with RATP at the very beginning of metro history in Paris, more than 100 years ago.

Paris has one of the densest metro networks in the world, with 245 stations within 86.9 km2.

Ansaldo STS contributes to the development and modernisation of urban transport networks around the world. Ansaldo is a leader in Driverless Metro technology and the most advance signalling system for metro transport such as on the Copenhagen and Taipei metros.

Ansaldo STS also develops CBTC, Unattended Train Operation and conventional metro technologies in most of the large cities around the world including Paris, Rome, Napoli, Milan, Los Angeles and New York.
