Disruption to East Midlands Trains services between Lincoln and Peterborough

East Midlands Trains services between Lincoln and Peterborough are being disrupted as a result of a line blockage at Cherry Holt level crossing near Spalding.

As a result of the blockage, no train services are currently able to operate between Spalding and Sleaford. Network Rail engineers are currently working hard to re-open the line as quickly as possible. However, the disruption is expected to continue for the rest of the day.

East Midlands Trains services from Lincoln to Peterborough are terminating at Sleaford and shuttle train services are operating between Peterborough and Spalding. Bus replacement services have  been put in place between Sleaford and Spalding. East Midlands Trains tickets are also being accepted on Stagecoach buses between Spalding and Peterborough.

Passengers using the route are advised that their journey is likely to take around 40 minutes longer than usual.

No other East Midlands Trains services are affected.
