Invensys Rail leads ERTMS debate

Listen to this article

At this year’s Signalling and Train Control Conference in Denmark, Invensys Rail will be running a workshop, specifically looking at signalling issues at the intersections between mainline, suburban and metro lines.

Led by the company’s Business Development Manager Christian Fry, the session will cover a range of technologies and operating systems including ERTMS, PTC and CBTC.

Invensys Rail say it will ‘open the debate on how interchangeability and interoperability can be created to cater for the different needs of varying modes of rail transport.’

Commenting on the event, Christian Fry said:

“We’re delighted to be so closely involved with this conference which is quickly becoming established as one of the key events in the industry calendar. I’m particularly pleased to be holding a workshop on such an important subject – and one that we are very closely engaged with through the development of our own systems and solutions.

“There was much discussion around the challenges of ERTMS at last year’s conference and I’m sure that debate will continue in a similar vein this year.”

Signalling and Train Control 2011 is being held in Copenhagen from 4th to 6th May.
