A team of 6 new train conductors completed their training programme with National Express East Anglia (NXEA) last week.

The team was presented with certificates by NXEA Conductor Manager John Bellchamber at a graduation ceremony held in Norwich to mark the successful completion of their training, and all 6 will now take up their conductor positions based at either Colchester, Ipswich or Norwich stations.

Trainee conductors participate in a 16-week training programme where they learn and are coached on all the operational, commercial and customer service requirements of the train conductor role.

John Bellchamber, Conductor Manager for NXEA commented:

“I am pleased to welcome our newly graduated conductors to the conductors’ team and I should like to wish them every success in their new positions.”
