Network Rail’s Charity Cricket Tournament raises £17,000

The annual Rail Building and Civil Engineering Charity Cricket Tournament took place at The Walkers Ground, Southgate Cricket Club yesterday, hosted by Network Rail.

The matches commenced at 1pm with the aim of raising in excess of £15,000 for Cancer Research.

A a total of £17,000 was raised on the day, which will be matched by Network Rail, bringing the grand total to £34,183.

All 4 teams played extremely well, with the London Bridge and the Building and Civils team sharing 1st place.

Players and their supporters were able to enjoy raffles and auctions throughout the day, along with a BBQ after the matches.

Many of Network Rail’s supply partners participated with a variety of teams including participants from the Kings Cross Project.
