Young Londoners can explore the Capital on public transport without breaking the bank with a Zip Oyster photocard.

Parents and young Londoners are being encouraged to make the most of their Summer holidays by using Transport for London’s (TfL’s) 11-15 Zip Oyster photocard scheme.

They can apply online or collect an application form from a Post Office in London.

The 11-15 scheme gives eligible young people free travel on buses and trams in the Capital.

It also gives 11-15 Oyster photocard holders child-rate travel on the Tube, Docklands Light Railway (DLR), London Overground and National Rail services.

The scheme is also available to those living outside London.

The Zip card gives the young people of London the opportunity to make the most of the Capital.

At the moment, more than half a million young Londoners are using the scheme which gives every young Londoner the chance to travel around the city they live in.

Steve Burton, TfL’s Director of Community Safety, Enforcement and Policing, said:

“Many young Londoners already have a Zip Oyster photocard.

“However, with the summer holidays about to start, we want to encourage those who do not have one to apply so they can save on travel costs, and also make the most of our Capital.

“To access the Zip schemes, parents and their children need to make sure that they apply, and I urge them all to do so.”
