Suzanne Linggood of National Express train operator c2c is a familiar face to the thousands of customers who travel on the c2c network every day, and it’s hardly surprising as Suzanne has just completed the unusual feat of working at every one of the 26 stations on the c2c network during her 17 year career with the Essex-based train operator.

Earlier this month, Suzanne who has worked her way up to the position of Group Station Manager undertook a shift at Limehouse station in East London meaning that she had completed a ‘full-house’ of working at every c2c station.

Suzanne lives in Southend and was born and raised in the Essex coastal town. Whilst working in the cinema industry, she applied for a job on the railway and out of 1,500 applicants, she was one of a dozen invited to join the industry, and 17 years later she is still here.

Suzanne has held various roles up and down the route, from trainee to positions in the ticket offices, train dispatch, platform work to her current role as Group Station Manager, including the key stations of London Fenchurch Street, Upminster & Barking.

Suzanne is a valued member of the c2c management team and can now boast that she really knows the business, having worked at every station.

Suzanne Linggood said: “I love working in the rail industry as no two days are the same and it makes coming to work exciting.

“Since joining the railway 17 years ago, I’ve worked in a range of roles at stations along the route from Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness, and I was delighted to spend some time at Limehouse station to complete my ‘full-house’.”

Julian Drury, Managing Director of c2c said:

“Suzanne really is an inspiration. She is dedicated, professional and a joy to work with. Her broad range of experience within the rail industry makes her an excellent manager.”
