Invensys Rail will be showcasing a number of its market-leading systems and solutions at this year’s Nordic Rail exhibition.

Taking centre stage on the company’s stand will be a demonstration of its FUTUR ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) solution.

Suitable for Level 1 and Level 2 ERTMS applications, FUTUR is proven in applications across Europe and Australasia, operating in a number of high speed and suburban commuter line projects in Spain, Australia and New Zealand.

FUTUR has also been specified for a number of future projects including the 212 kilometre Ankara to Konia high speed line in Turkey.

In the UK, Invensys has recently been selected by Network Rail to deliver one of Britain’s largest ever resignalling schemes at London Bridge Station.

The overarching contract will include the introduction of the company’s ATO (Automatic Train Operation) and ETCS (European Train Control System) solutions, which will be overlaid in the London Bridge area to enable all train movements to be controlled automatically, delivering 24 trains per hour in each direction at the programme’s completion in 2018.

Elsewhere on the company’s stand will be a demonstration of its WESTRACE computer based interlocking system.

Now proven in projects across the UK, mainland Europe and Australasia, WESTRACE is a safety critical, modern interlocking capable of increased functionality for more flexible deployment as well as providing minimal routine maintenance for low operational costs.

Importantly, it is also fully compatible with Invensys Rail’s ERTMS solutions and so offers the assurance of complete forward compatibility.
