Bluebell Railway’s East Grinstead extension will be open to the public this weekend as part of the ‘Track-Trek’ sponsored walk.

Money raised on September 30 will go towards the Northern Extension project.

The ‘Track- Trek’  sponsored walk will take place on the land between East Grinstead and Kingscote Station, enabling the 550 registered supporters to be the first to see the landscape of the track between the two stations.

Walkers will be able to see the newly-laid track and the route through the Imberhorne cutting.

Roger Kelly, funding director, said: “This is a chance not only for supporters to see the route through Imberhorne cutting and over the viaduct but also to raise money themselves, by getting sponsorship from friends, family, and work colleagues.

“Every walker will receive a commemorative certificate, and those who raise £100, will receive a  sponsorship a medal.”
