SigAssure UK has begun trading on the Continent with the creation of a new venture to tackle the European rail sector.
SigAssure EU, which is registered in Holland, is managed by Taco de Gier and will concentrate its efforts on becoming the sales division for the SigAssure Group of companies worldwide.
“This was seen as strategic but also a natural progression for our group of companies.
“Since our sigMALP product was approved in the UK in February 2012, the product – a lightweight single user track trolley – has also seen phenomenal interest from Europe and Australasia,” said managing director of SigAssure UK Richard Merrills.
“The product is now on trial with clients in Holland, Belgium, Australia and shortly to follow in India.
“Because we are an engineering business, we felt that we needed to open a shop front to our clients, and to do so in Europe provided a more central location.”
