AnsaldoBreda delivers first Sirio tram to Zhuhai

Italian manufacturer AnsaldoBreda has transported the first of 11 new Sirio trams to the Chinese city of Zhuhai.

The five-car bi-directional trams will be assembled by CNR Dalian under a 10-year licensing agreement with AnsaldoBreda.

A second Sirio tram is expected to arrive later this month in time for the inauguration of the first section of Zhuhai’s Line 1.

The vehicle’s feature AnsaldoBreda’s Tramwave system which enables catenary-free operation.
