The Astaldi Group has been awarded the main construction contract for the delayed Napoli-Afragola high-speed rail station in Italy.
Architect Zaha Hadid revealed designs for the AV interchange more than 10 years ago but the project has yet to be completed because of a lack of funding.
Astaldi said delivery of the €61 million contract will take around two years.
Located three kilometres north of Napoli, the station will connect Afragola to the Napoli-Roma high-speed rail line.
One of the most inefficiently laid out car parks I’ve ever seen!
