Delivery of new Coradia Nordic EMUs to Swedish public transport operator Skånetrafiken has begun.
Alstom, which is building the trains at its Salzgitter factory, is supplying 30 Coradia units to add to the operator’s current fleet.
Eleven trains are scheduled to be delivered by May 2017 and all trains are due to be with Skånetrafiken by January 2019.
The EMUs will consist of four cars with a capacity for up to 510 passengers. The trains will have a maximum operating speed of 160 km/h.
