SNCF has announced it is to rebrand the TGV high-speed brand as inOUI in a bid to attract more customers.
The French rail operator plans to attract 15 million new customers by 2020 by offering two clear-cut services, the low-cost high-speed service OUIgo – which has to date carried 13 million passengers, operating at a 90 per cent capacity in the process – and a premium service called inOUI.
The drive to attract new customers will be supported by adding 30 new destinations and 34 new trainsets to its fleet.
The managing director of Voyages SNCF – the firm’s e-commerce site – Rachel Picard said: “InOui reflects the transformation of our passenger service which will spur growth throughout our pipeline.”
Managing director of Voyages-sncf.com – which is to rebrand as OUI.sncf – Franck Gervais added: “OUI.sncf tells our customers clearly that a major transformation is underway: the new brand expresses all the possibilities that we will offer them, for any destination and any budget. We want OUI.sncf to be the new standard of e-tourism in France.”
