Rail engineering firm Garrandale Group has expanded its global presence with the launch of Garrandale Australia.
The announcement comes as the company delivers its first contract – to design and manufacture an automatic water-recycling carriage wash system – for Australia’s biggest public transport project, Sydney metro.
The firm’s managing director, Tim Brown, said the move is part of Garrandale’s ambitious international growth strategy. He added: “We’re already the most established in the UK for specialist rail depot equipment. Now we’re looking to expand our international presence, and our long-term plan is that 50 per cent of business will be overseas in three years’ time.”
Garrandale Rail currently supplies specialist carriage wash systems, fuelling stations and controlled emission toilets to clients in the UK.
