Alstom has successfully delivered 13 Coradia Lints to Danish railway company Nordjyske Jernbaner (NJ).

The trains were built in Salzgitter, Germany, and will mainly run on the north Denmark regional network from autumn 2017.

The two-unit trains have a capacity of 135 passengers, run at a maximum speed of 140km/h and come equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, information systems and video surveillance.

Nordjyske Jernbaner CEO Peter Hvilshøj said: “NJ is significantly increasing its operation activities and we are pleased to have received Alstom’s 13 Coradia Lint on-time.

“We chose this train as it is a very reliable and well performing train and they fit well into our operational conditions to the benefits of our passengers.”

Alstom Denmark’s managing director Christian Algreen-Ussing added: “Alstom is pleased to support Nordjyske Jernbaner’s new operating lines with Coradia Lint, a modern regional train that offers full accessibility and increased passenger comfort thanks, to its large number of seats.

“Today, 97 Coradia Lint regional trains previously delivered by Alstom are successfully operating on the Danish network.”

According to Alstom, the Coradia Lints are the firm’s most popular regional train, with more than 900 sold across the world.
