Wegh Group has been awarded another “significant” contract for level crossing machines in Vietnam.

Earlier this year the firm supplied 150 level crossing machines for the country’s railway, which were installed by Vietnamese engineers on the Hanoi to Ho Chi Min City line.

Following that success, Wegh has struck up a new contract for TD 96/2 level crossing systems with Vietnam Railways.

Wegh said that the systems will be adapted specifically for Vietnamese technical requirements.

Its level crossing machines have already been adopted in Italy, where more than 9,000 have been installed since 2005 across various regional railways.

Wegh Group is an italian company that designs and produces components and equipment for the railway industry.
