Crossrail has released new track footage letting members of the public take a 360° tour of the Elizabeth line’s Woolwich station.

The new 276m Woolwich station sits 14m below the ground and forms part of a masterplan at the historic site of the Royal Arsenal, which includes the provision of 3,750 new homes.

Once it is opened in December 2018, up to 12 services an hour will allow passengers to travel to Canary Wharf, the City and the West End without having to change trains.

The Elizabeth line will open between Paddington and Abbey Wood, Liverpool Street to Shenfield and Paddington Main Line to Heathrow Terminal 4 from December 2018.

In December 2019 the Elizabeth line will fully open.

  1. Looks amazing. So far 87% is completed with 13% more to be done before the Crossrail project is at its 100% completion in late 2018 ready for the Elizabeth Line central section to open in Summer 2019 or Late 2019. Along with more Class 345 9-Car EMU Aventra to be manufactured (66 Class 345’s in total).
