Hector Rail has strengthened its position in the ‘strategically important’ market of Germany with the creation of a special unit.

Hector Rail in Germany has been established as an independent division to capitalise on potential long-term growth opportunities for the company in Germany.

The new unit will be led by Stig Kyster-Hansen, who has a strong background in the European rail freight industry and has held leading positions within the DB Group in Germany and Scandinavia. Stig has also played a vital role in the start-up of ERS Railways in the Netherlands and Germany. He will become managing director on January 1, 2018.
