The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has received another two Azur metro trains to run on the Montreal Metro’s Green line.
The Azur has been built by a Bombardier-Alstom consortium to gradually replace STM’s MR-63 cars, which have been operational since the subway opened in 1966.
To date 29 Azur trains of a 52 order have been delivered by the consortium.

In 2013, STM chairman Michel Labrecque described the train as “one of the most beautiful” in the world, allowing the public transport agency to boost metro ridership.
The new trains were introduced to the metro’s Green line on October 24.
