DB Cargo appoints new CEO

The current managing board member of Deutsche Bahn’s infrastructure division DB Netz is to become the new CEO of DB Cargo.

As of December 1, 2017, Roland Bosch will assume responsibility for the European freight operator and its 30,000 employees across 16 countries.

He joined Deutsche Bahn as chief financial officer of DB Netz in October 2010 and has been a member of the executive production board at the subsidiary since 2013.

Roland follows Jürgen Wilder, who left the company by mutual agreement and at his own request at the end of October. New for 2018: the Rail Asset Management Summit. Click here to find out more.

“With his international background and as a profound knowledge of interfaces and dependencies between infrastructure and railway companies, he is the ideal cast.

“This knowledge is an excellent basis for the sustainable improvement of quality and reliability at DB Cargo. In addition, his main focus will be on putting the company on an economically sound footing.”
