A 5.9km extension to Dublin’s light rail system has been officially launched.
The Luas Cross City line features 13 new stops from St Stephen’s Green and extends the Green line to the Red line.
Costing around €368 million, it was one of the largest capital investment projects being undertaken by the Irish government.
Construction began in June 2013 and on December 9 the new stretch officially launched.
