Duisburg’s public transport operator (DVG) has ordered 47 Flexity trams from Bombardier.

Under the terms of the €132 million contract, the first vehicles of the new fleet will be delivered to the city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, in mid-2019.

The trams will have several additional safety features, including an integrated obstacle detection system and rear-view cameras.

Each of the bidirectional vehicles will consist of three carriages and will be 34 metres long.
