Strukton Rail has been awarded a contract to renew the S-train line between Valby and Frederikssund in Denmark.

The project includes renewing 30 km of track, installing 10 new switches and constructing three new stops.

Banedanmark describes the line as one of the busiest it manages, carrying around 40,000 passengers every day.

Strukton will deliver the project over the course of several line closures throughout the year. The longest blockade will be a 12-week closure between June and August.
