Continuing the trend, GE Transportation has now secured its first locomotive deal in Chile.

Talgo has signed a 10-year deal with CRRC Sifang to make the Chinese manufacturer its primarily supplier of passenger information systems.

The RFP was initially issued in April last year but only CRRC Sifang America submitted a proposal.

Services on the high-speed line were originally scheduled to begin in December 2026.
