AB orders Tango LRVs from Stadler

Mountain railway operator Appenzeller Bahnen (AB) has placed an order for seven Tango light rail vehicles from Stadler.

The Tango trams, which will operate on a new cross-town link between Trogen, St. Gallen and Appenzell, make up an order worth around CHF 60 million.

The platform is already in use in Basel and Geneva, with the latest units to be built at Stadler’s Altenrhein SG site.
