Listen to this article

Deutsche Bahn’s (DB) rolling stock maintenance arm has signed a contract to maintain Veolia Verkehr’s diesel train fleet.

DB will maintain 78 LINT diesel multiple-units (DMU), which are currently operating on the NordWestBahn, Bayerische Regiobahn and the Northern Baltic Sea railway between 2014 and 2020.

DB said the contract was in the “double-digit million range”.

The contract, which will be delivered by DB’s site in Kassel, covers safety-critical components like axles, bogies and brake components.
