The Upper Austrian town of Gmunden €30 million order for new Tramlink light rail vehicles from Vossloh.

Design and assembly of the fleet of 11 new bidirectional trams will be carried out by Vossloh Rail Vehicles in Valencia, with the first LRV expected to be delivered to Austria by the end of next year.

The deal, which includes a 16-year maintenance contract, represents a significant breakthrough for Vossloh in the Austrian rail equipment market.

In 2012, Vossloh received a €90 million order from the São Paulo Metropolitan Urban Transport Company (STM/EMTU) for 22 Tramlink vehicles.

Other orders have been placed in Spain and Germany.
