Merseytravel awards infrastructure framework agreements

Merseytravel has awarded a series of four-year framework contracts covering transport and infrastructure works across Liverpool’s public transport network.

Merseytravel, which operates services on the Merseyrail commuter rail network, has awarded 14 framework agreements in total.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff was handed eight of the 14 lots, worth £250 million over the course of the next four years.

Richard McWilliam, framework manager from WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, said: “This framework plays a crucial part in the regeneration of Liverpool and the wider Mersey area.

“Our experience in delivering high quality engineering consultancy and infrastructure services to Merseytravel over the past 10 years has meant that we are well placed to deliver their key initiatives.”
