Listen to this article

Nicola Goncalves has joined the Railway Mission as chaplain for Edinburgh and the east of Scotland.

Her parish stretches right up to Aberdeen and Inverness. Nicola’s role will complement the work of Steven Black, Railway Mission Chaplain responsible for Glasgow and the west of Scotland.

Nicola, who comes from Edinburgh, became a Christian at a Youth Outreach Weekend aged 17. She lived abroad for some years and studied Theology in Australia.

Nicola has extensive experience of pastoral work and is looking forward to her new job.

Says Keith Rose, chairman of the Railway Mission, ‘We are really pleased to have Nicola join us and look forward to seeing the positive impact of her work in the lives of rail staff in Scotland over the coming years.’
