Listen to this article

Authorities in Sweden and Norway are to work together to develop a plan for improving passenger and freight services between Oslo and Gothenburg.

The Norwegian National Rail Administration, Jernbaneverket, and the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, will contribute to a joint study to plan a coordinate both a short-term and long-term infrastructure improvement programme on both sides of the border.

The agreement follows a meeting between Norway’s Ministry of Transport and Sweden’s Ministry of Industry in December 2013.
