Ansaldo STS awarded PTC contract in Pennsylvania

Ansaldo STS has been awarded a $98 million contract to supply a Positive Train Control (PTC) system for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA).

Ansaldo STS’s PTC system will control SEPTA’s regional rail system, which serves five counties in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania region, using a PTC-compliant speed enforcement system.

Ansaldo will design, construct, test and commission the signalling, communications and train control system.
