JR East submits vision for Shibuya station

Designs for the Shibuya Station District have been submitted to the Governor of Tokyo for approval.

JR East has unveiled its plans for the site, which include building a 46-story mixed-use complex.

JR East has said the Shibuya Station District, which lies directly on the JR Yamanote Line and the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, will be redeveloped ‘as a model project’ for urban renewals around a major terminal stations.
