The German city of Pauen has extended an order for Flexity trams from Bombardier.

Plauen Transport Authority (PSB) has exercised an option on a framework contract signed in 2012 and ordered three additional trams.

The 21-metre vehicles can accommodate 119 passengers. More than 600 Flexity trams are currently operating in Germany.

Plauen’s tram system opened in 1894 and now transports eight million passengers a year.
