Czech Republic and Turkey approve Vectron

Rail authorities in the Czech Republic and Turkey have certified Siemens’ Vectron locomotive for use on their national networks.

The Vectron multi-system and AC versions have been approved by the Czech Rail Authority.

In Turkey, Turkish State Railways (TCDD) has passed the multi-system model for use on both conventional routes and the high-speed line between Istanbul and Ankara.

During testing, the Vectron covered 25,000 kilometres using TCDD drivers.
